In today's business world having a computer is just as essential as having a phone. But the programs that you utilize on your computer is what makes your business run. Whether it's an accounting program or an inventory tracker, it's use in your day to day dealings can make your business run that much smoother.
As a small business owner start up costs are often very high. Being able to save money in one area can free up funds to invest else where. Computer programs can range in price, some even reaching the $1,000 mark making us cringe as the cashier rings us up.
I have listed a few programs that might ease that burden a bit, these are what we call Freeware Programs. A Freeware program is a program that someone has created and is giving out freely to anyone to use for FREE. Sometimes they give out the coding and encourage others to take it and improve it, others ask that you don't change anything. Most are listed under the GNU General Public License, which you can read more about at this link: www.gnu.org.
